I've blanked my return to the TIP and put a breather filter on the catch tank pipe.

Looks good tho, i really need to finish my bracket.

Ive ghetto'd mine pipe to under the car, like james bond but without the db5 and sluts in bikinis.... ive even got a realistic smoke screen too!

lol, I've done that on previous cars actually. Leaves a nice drip on the driveway.
I wouldn't recommend a breather filter in the engine bay though as eventually they end up splattering little oil deposits all over the engine. I guess it its on the end of the tank though it'll be ok as that'll catch most of the oil, might actually give it a go. Would save trailing half a meter of hose across the TIP.

PhilW can you take a pic of your tank with the breather filter please mate

i took my inlet manifold pipe of today and it was really clean not one bit of oil but saw a mk3 yesterday with loads of oil in the pipes so if left on and ran for a fair few thousand miles will prob catch some oil!

I take it your talking about mine and there really wasnt that much, there was a drip to be honest where it came off and some in the pipe!

Your car is about a year and a half old and mines five and a half to be fair and mines probably done about 40,000 more miles than yours too

Looks wicked Johnny ;)

Cheers Alex, I'll get a pic with the cover off so you can see the red vac hoses to give you some inspiration ;)

Wouldn't worry about the small amount of oil in the pipes, like I said the main reason I've fitted it is to stop any oil potentially getting into the MAF + I think it looks cool :cartman:
Might be worth cleaning out the little black filter that the breather attaches to every now and again.
