fitted k03s on apr stage 2

hi guys fitted my k03s yesterday what a nightmare was a little worried as no one was sure how it would run on the car i can safley say it pulls better low down but puffs out about 6k. shall i go for a custom map to get max performance from it

Dont waste your money. 400+ quid for a small gain. Cant you tweak the settings with vtune?

been told you cant use vtune on ibiza unless anyone knows different

Definately get a custom map for best results, but a K03S will run out of puff about 6k what do you expect? its a very small turbo.

what would happen if i played with the actuator

It will hit limp mode.

why will it hit limp mode when i'm only winding it in or out

well if you wind it out, its only going to make less boost, if you wind it in its more than likely going to be to much and go into limp. There are far more accruate ways to produce more boost/power. eg. on the ECU.

because thats gonna adjust pressure settings which your ecu might not be able to handle.

i thought the only adjustments was the vtune like phil said? otherwise, give them a ring and see what they can do?

Play with the actuator if you want. Crank it inwards and log it with vag com to see how its going, but dont do too many turns at once.

You'll preload the actuator giving a bigger initial spike which, as said above, might throw it into limp mode.
