Well 1 year on nearly and after having trouble free driving i have now got an issue with my car:cry:
Soon as i pull off i have this rattle noise thats a terrible sound and when the windows down its awful and feel embarresed when driving past people as it sounds like a old banger coming past, dont know what it is yet, looked under the car to see if something loose and ratteling but nothing, it starts soon as my wheels move which someone told me this could be the wheel bearings, if it is this wont my car pull to one side or vibrate at a certain speed which it does niether.
And if it is would i be covered under warrenty and if not how much am i looking at.
So does this noise sound like wheel bearings as i have never had this before.

I had a situation similar to this about a year ago on my Cupra so it might be worth checking.

A stone had got lodged between the brake disc and the brake disc **** guards and was making an awful sound. It may not be the same thing but it's worth investigating, otherwise get it to a dealer as soon as possible.

Would suggest getting it checked but these would be my observations;

1. Wheel bearing, probably unlikely if it is very loud, the wheel bearing make more of a vibrating / woomping noise, similiar but not as loud as when someone opens the back window when you driving!! I had this on my FR, it's a simple fix

2. More than likely to be something lodge between the brake pads / disc, can only be a small strong and this will scrap. Also the rear brakes, if like my old FR have an extra metal protective plate behind them. This can easily get bent if you have run over something.

3. One more point to check, which also happened on my FR. Under the frront wheel arches there is an extra rubber strap/mount which supports the body kit. Thy can get moved out of place and even ome off the mounts and therefore rub against the tyres (youll need a star shape headed screwdriver to remove and refit these)

Hope its resolved soon 4 u

Well got a bloke who works in my factory he kits up his car with his mate who owns a garage and knows a lot about cars, just looked at it and says 100% not wheel bearings does not sound like them as they make more of a screching noise, the noise im getting is like a ball bearing in a tin can ratteling like mad and thats at 10mph he ruled out the exhaust and seems to think its something loose or brake gaurd as some of you mentioned as when you flick the break gaurd with your fingers it makes a tingy sound like a tuning fork any way is mate is going to pick it up this week and get it up in the air and look at it, he assured me not to worry as even though it sounds awful and lound he believes it will be something simple, i still have judgement on this but any way soon as i have diagnosed the problem ill report back.

I had this a while back. Was a stone caught in the wheel, unfortunately its not covered under warranty and did recify itself (probably dropped out) after a couple of weeks....

Well the bloke took my car away today found the problem and now driving like a dream again :D

The issue was a Plastic Shield that covers the drive shaft under the car had come loose the rivets holding it in place came loose this what was vibrating, the casing had a tin plate in it which explains the horrible noise that was coming from it.

Any way casing back in place car back to normal no sound and only 20 quid out of pocket well happy, wonder how much i would ive got charged by the seat dealer.
