Good to see a seller putting some effort in for once ;)

Thanks, much appreciated! I've looked around for a long while at various other sellers side repeaters on sale and they would have you think that all Seat Side Repeaters are the same. They must get complaints and bad feedback when they don't fit but the item description never changes, so I can only guess that they don't care if they fit or not as long as they continue to sell them!

Am I right in thinking the ones from the mk1 leon are the same? Just wondered as the door mirrors are too :)

Hi,

Some Mk1 Leons from mid 2003 on will have the same side repeaters, Yes. However, Mk1 Leons up to that point will have the earlier fitment so these ones would be now good. I have side repeaters in my ebay shop to suit all Leons from early Mk1s to late Mk1s and all Mk2s if you want to take a look at them? :)

I have done this afternoon that's why I asked :)
might try them and see I mean they look exactly the same on the car and in the photos. :)

Well, basically it doesn't matter if I have them listed on ebay for an Ibiza or a Leon, etc as the repeaters will be the same on all models depending on the age of the car. The thing to look out for is if your original repeaters have the chrome or amber centres as explained on all of my listings and just be sure you buy the ones which are suited to your car from that, each listing will tell you if it suits the amber or chrome centre standard repeaters. Hope that helps, if you're still not sure just give me a shout! [B)]

If anyone else is looking for these crystal black repeaters at the moment I just listed another 3 sets for this weekend, I can't post a link up as I'm too new a member but if you get into my ebay shop and search for IBIZA Mk4 CRYSTAL BLACK REPEATERS or LEON MK2 CRYSTAL BLACK REPEATERS then the correct ones should come up!

Don't worry if you happen to miss out on these ones though, I have some more being made as we speak and hopefully should be able to offer more of these in around 3-4 weeks time.

You have been able to get side repeaters for years!!!! Just not advertised as for Ibiza's!

You honestly can't think that the MK4 (6L) Ibiza would have its own set of side repeaters which aren't shared at all across the VAG range!!!

The round Mk3 Golf ones fit fine!

Sorry, but that isn't entirely true and I'm sure someone here will hopefully back me up on this? Late Mk3 Golf and all Mk4 Golf Repeaters will fit into the wing of the car, that isn't the problem.....what is a problem is the bulb holder fitment. Because I've not made 15 posts yet I can't post links to pictures, etc but I will try to explain as best as I can just now and I'll post some pictures up which explain things better as soon as I can.

Late Mk3 Golf Repeaters will fit straight onto a Mk2 6K Ibiza and will match the bulb holder fitment with no problems.
If you try to fit Late Mk3 Golf Repeaters to a 6L Ibiza you will run into trouble with the bulb holder fitment because they are the same as a Mk4 Golf,The Mk4 Golf Fitment will fit all 6L Ibizas but only up to mid 2003 because during 2003 Seat changed their side repeaters from the VAG Golf Mk4 Bulb Holder Fitment to one of there own, the visible outside difference is that the later repeaters have an amber centre ring rather than the chrome centre ring which the pre-2003/Mk4 Golf lights had.

The 2003 on Seat Side Repeaters have a totally different bulb holder fitment to any of the VAG range, this fitment is common to all Seats from mid 2003 on so, a 6L Ibiza, a 6J Ibiza (2008 on) or any other Seat from mid 2003 on will not be able to have a Mk4 Golf fitment repeater unless you started to change bulb holders, etc. These repeaters which I'm selling are a direct fit, no changing of ulb holders or messing around at all, just a straight swap for the original ones.

I hope that has helped explain things a little further, I'll hold my hands up and admit I'm not a Seat expert but I did put a massive amount of effort into getting these lights into the market place and in trying to make it clear which models they will and won't fit.
Can someone who's come across the bulb holder fitment problems confirm what I'm saying above please? :)

Its true, I bought some about a year ago and they had the different type of holder. I was a bit pissed off and sold them on to a VW owner. They were advertised for Mk1 Leons and Mk4 (6L) Ibizas so I assumed they would fit!

Cheers for that, that would sound about right! They would only be good for early Mk1 Leons and very early 6L Ibizas.....sadly pretty much every other seller on ebay advertising Ibiza/Leon Repeaters does this and they simply don't seem to get the message that they don't fit when people tell them, since they keep advertising them and saying that they fit.....when they don't!!

I've had mine, They are fine.
Fitting is great they look pretty good too, Clear lenses with black backgrounds.
They fit and look fantastic, only one small problem the bulb holders (The ones on your car) are white so they look a bit out of place buy a small tin of black paint and paint them prior to fitting and it will look perfect.

Basically theres a flexible bit (Youll see when yours arrive)
its towards the front of the car, You push towards the front so it flexes towards the front, then pull the back outwards and it will pop out, My drivers side practically fell out, however the passenger was alot harder.

Sure I'll pop down now, there were no problems with the bulb holders they fitted perfectly.
Slightly different design, your ones use plastic clips the ones on mine were metal however yours are easier to remove/replace the originals were seriously a pain in the arse to get in.

I'll go take some pictures now.

Cheers, I look forward to seeing them on the car. From what I've seen of them they are bright enough too, would you agree? Despite the inside of the light being black plastic it is very smoothly finished and I think reflects the light pretty well.
