hi guys, ive managed to get the porsche 996 calipers on today, easy to fit tbh, just a faff getting old bolts off etc..

had to tow to a local garage to bleed tho, easybleed had a split in it.

the resorvoir ran dry when i disconnected the brake lines...

this likely to cause me any problems

other than this an easy conversion and it looks awesome.....

Its not ideal so might take a bit of bleeding up, probs should have kept it topped up in between brakes and keep it closed where possible so detach the lines last.

Glad you got them sorted though.

probably done some good there mate as a full flush and new fluid is better than topping up also you would have your fluid drained and replaced on one of your services at a dealer not sure at what mileage and cant be arsed to go look having a beer :) but it will help your breaking system if its all new fluid regards mat

When a dealer or anywhere does a brake fluid change they dont drain the system then refill it, they push/suck the old fluid out with the new fluid

well improvements already as they look feckin awesome....

bite better than the single pot cupra calipers, no brake fade, squeel or rattles.

made sure everything was tight on, easy job to fit and bleed tbh in the end a succesful day

took around 3 hours to fit the calipers, 15 mins for garage to pressure bleed and new fluid change.

£500 for 996 calipers, carriers, pads, anti rattle shims, goodridge hoses and all fittings. plus £40 to power bleed and fluid change to motul rbf.

no pics yet, but will try get some up.

pads are just oem porsche textar at the moment, get the discs bedded in then save for some ds2500s.

lovely jubbly.....

Nice one, Gubien has changed his brakes for Brembo Gt Juniors, he has said that the brakes feel really hard aswell. Perhaps this is just as you and he has said that there is such a change from the single pots to the 4 pots.
I believe you will be flying the flag for uprated brakes as much as I am now:)

£500 though, half of the brembo gt setup...

fitted myself, so really a bargain.

great setup, looks smart also, in brembo red.

fully refurbed calipers, put new pistons and seals in, new nipples also.

oh and no spacers required, just little washers to stop the calipers binding.

Excellent, I'm having problems getting seal kits for the LCR brembo's, will have to speak to David (Sere) again.
Are you planning on getting DS2500's, these are very good
