Just got my Genden cable through (ordered at 14:00 yesterday!) and it's working great :funk:

Logged controller 01 Engine:

VAG-COM Version: Release 311.2-N

Control Module Part Number: 6K0 906 032 AB
Component and/or Version: 1.8L20VTCUPRA R 0001
Software Coding: 11500
Work Shop Code: WSC 00000
4 Faults Found:
16501 - Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62): Signal too Low
P0117 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17947 - Clutch Pedal Switch (F36): Implausible Signal
P1539 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17536 - Fuel Trim: Bank 1 (Mult): System too Lean
P1128 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
18010 - Power Supply Terminal 30: Voltage too Low
P1602 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Now I knew about the coolant sensor so I've ordered one (part 059919501a this right one)
The main concern is the 17536, system too lean. Does this point to a dodgy MAF?? I've cleared the codes and am going to clean out the MAF and hopefully it won't come back, if not I'm guessing I'll be getting the credit card out again
I'll do some logging when I've cleaned the MAF and fitted the temp sensor. Hopefully this should tell me if it really is the MAF. What blocks should I be logging?? 4th gear 2000rpm - redline??

Can anyone shed any light on the other 2 faults, 17947 clutch pedal and 18010 power supply.

cheers

Check the wires on the plug that goes into the coolant temp sensor when you replace the sensor itself mate.

Power Supply one is simply because the battery has been disconnected at one point or another.

Pedal switch fault could be down to the amazing pedal box design...check the little switch is sitting correctly and is connected up ok.

Fuel trim is MAF / Vac Leak related. Check all your pipes after you've cleaned your MAF.

As for logging...

Blocks 002, 004 and 115.

legend as usually Martyn, thanks mate. I'll get the MAF off asap and give it a clean, my brothers got some spray cleaner which he reckons is spot on for the job. Dries allmost instantly and is the sutff he uses at work on electrically components.

He changed all the vac hosing for silicon red stuff so it's possible he's caused a leak somewhere as the hose is a little too mig IMO.

By the way, popped to the pose office and noticed straight away the steering is so much light since I fixed the power steering pump plug :)

Fill a sealable sandwich bag with IPA cleaner and submerge the maf sensor in the bag for 5 mins. Give it a shake around and leave it too dry. IPA will just evaporate.

Pulled a couple more g/s for me

If that doesnt work then its a new maf.
