I use these pads on my LCR with standard discs, added the Motul RBF600 brake fluid as recommended by Badger Bill, perfect brakes all day at Combe

If you're doing any track days, I wouldn't go with DS2500s.
They've just ruined a set of AP disks on my CSL, melting and leaving deposits everywhere.
Pagid RS29s are the way to go...

They worked fine on a track day for me on an LCR (with upgraded brake fluid) and OEM Brembo disks
I guess a BMW CSL is a different beast though
They're a very soft pad, and don't cope well with heat, which is why they melt.
They're the first pad I've experienced which has done this.
Standard disks + pads with the standard callipers were fine from this point of view.
AP ship them with their 6pot front/4pot rear kits for the CSL, so I'd thought I used them as a starting point to see how they were.
Answer is not good.
Have ordered replacement disks, this time with RS29 pads, hoping they arrive before friday.
Not a case of Ds2500's being bad, but your spec requires DS3000 type material or PF01 etc, but your disks will WEAR RAPIDLY

something has to give & wear. Its disk or pad, or basic driver abuse.
when you run disks this hot (see below) and are totally unaware from inside the car they're working that hard, they cant be too bad. Motul RBf600, ATE disks, DS2500 pads.. nuff said.
ok I stand corrected. On the CSL DS2500s suck on track.
still fecking annoying that AP ship them as standard if they don't suit the car.
from talking to other m3/csl owners, its a common issue
