Thanks Dav, torn between just going stage one and leaving the DP and channeling that money into a nice double din unit in the dash.

Allow me to be probably the last person on the planet to congratulate you on an excellent choice of automobile! ;)

Love the colour too and the mods you've got planned sound awesome. Good luck! :)

Nice one Jason. Luuuuuuuverly car. To be honest I have been spending as well, hence the absence of late.

The RS has gone and now its been replaced with something white, 2.0, coupe and VW. One year older than the Bocanegra, which I am still with until the new car to replace that is built.

So, deposit paid journey up North made. and now I own a real VW as opposed to a mixy matchy one. Not a Golf but more its little brother.

Will post up pics soon as I can.

Yep Punto Abarth Esseesse in Gofasta red all the toys inc leather n sunroof with roof wrap. Everything the Bocanegra could have been in the finishing department. Cost 1K more than the Boc.

Punto or scirroco Brendan? Confused.com! LOL

Greed boy here!

Sirocco for me. It was too good to pass up. Broke even (Just) on the RS, thats gone to a quantified RS Nut! so only had to scrape up another 6.5 K for the Sirocco

Punto for Mrs B. Her money her car. Punto is delivered in January. she wanted it sooner but they cannot deliver until then. Got a decent price for the Boc and they will hold it till then. Plus she has a friend that works for FIAT UK head office in Slough so got a bit of discount.

I think its who you know when buying a car these days. The Rocco came on a recommend from a work colleague who used to work for VW he teaches at my place now. He is still matey with his old colleagues in the industry and they put me on to it. Got to go up to Salford to pick it up but that is no great mission. I am carless ATM though which is a bit of a bind. Car sharing is hassle with Mrs B.

Well done Brendan! Nothing wrong with those at all. I test drove the rocco but sadly the seats were just too hard and uncomfortable for my boney butt LOL.

With my padded rump it was fine! I have to say its a good combination, good leg room in the Rocco reasonable boot, 2.0 hassle free lump. Abarth, much the same. Proven engine and box, factory remap, plus the Abarth dealer says there is more squeeze in the engine once it is bedded in. Had a long talk with the workshop manager. Best of all they are at the end of my road literally so any problems and its easy to drop off. Also you get a decent courtesy car wth Abarth as well. Not some under powered grubby sewing machine.

Its all about the customer service from now on.

Happy for you mate. I have been on a shopping spree for bits for the Leon but think I have made a mistake with bloody clutch kit! Will see if I can rectify it tomorrow though.

Sachs clutch is a good option. Not much different to stock with feel, but handles the extra torque
