Thanks for posting the pics. I had the back lights mounted before the car got resprayed, and I don't like them too. I would prefer dark/black back lights as they would look best imho, but it is difficult to find some. I still have the stock back lights in my garage, but now idea if it would look better.
And yes, i intended the car to look clean and unobtrusive.

I would love to have standard tinted ones, but the problem is that this is not legal and if i get into an accident i might run into problems. I know that there are some smoked-glass back lights, but unfortunately they are not produced anymore. So i think I will go for the original ones.
The boot is opened with a 3-button flip remote key from an VW. Additionally i installed a calliper from a Passat next to the hand break. In the boot a fuel cap motor from another Leon took place, which is directly connected to the lock. And i am using a bumper from the new Scirocco so that the boot 'jumps' out of the lock as soon as i open it. Works quite well!

as for the lights, i prefer the originals, ive seen someone put the LED rings in the sidelights which looked quite smart (a bit like the mk2 leons).

Sikk ride! The colour is amazing... was thinking about respraying my fr tdi in liquid yellow but chose lamborghini milano pearl yellow.
