4 yrs old and 25k miles and my LC failed its MOT on a broken coil spring (which I did know about) and a some sort of bearing relating to the coil spring.

Unfortunately the garage also busted the ABS sensor when eomoving the spring and shock which was a bummer (I suppose these things happen).

What was really odd was that it also failed on the 2 headlight bulbs saying that "headlamps not in good working order affecting beam image".

I just changed the bulbs for Phiilips vision plus about 4 weeks ago. I can't say I noticed a problem. I know the garage aren't ripping me off as I know the guys and they changed the bulbs for free and gave me a discount on the labour.

Has anyone come accross this issue with bulbs before? could they just have been a dodgy set?

Cheers

With changing the bulbs you may have changed the way the beam is aimed hence why the imaging of the headlights isn't right. It may be something trivial such as when re-inserting the new bulb it wasn't sitting flush.

i upgraded my bulbs to ring xenon. The cheaky thing is that they are running at 80watts;) and are designed mainly for off road. My MOT is due in months times. will they spot it and fail me for these lights? :cop:
