neither of yours can brake you tarts.

Also can anyone confirm this rumour, The rumour being that only the FR and Cupra now come with engine covers, all the rest have been binned, heard this froma few people, also autoexpresses review last week had no engine covered on the TDi, so may be right like on the New leons.

why compete the Petrol will be faster overall. and you would'nt even need to change the turbo, just a front mount for £500, exhaust which you have and air filter which you have and a good rolling road remap, will see 230-235 bhp for no more than £1000 all in. job done,

ive not got an exhaust its standard apart from revo and forge dv 007. but with that stuff on it like your old one had it will be fast enough to give spaniels a good go

All models now come with similar bumpers, although I think the lower side intakes on the Cupra are a slightly different shape to the others and a bit smaller. The FR and Cupra both have the recessed area round the front and back number plate finished in black. The front upper grilles on the Cupra, Sport and Stylance are slatted and I think the others are mesh.

For some reason the Stylance has loads of equipment but comes with steel wheels like the basic Reference model.

looked over one at the dealer today.
Silver FR 130 PDi

All models now get new bumpers, aero wipers front and rear, opening rear qtr's on 3-door,
FR gets, new 17" alloys, new seats, new SEAT SPORT gear knob, steering wheel stereo controls, electric folding mirrors and mesh upper rad grills.

The one i looked at also had the convenience pack (dimming mirror/rain sensor/headlight washers)

Im gonna pop over Listers in the morning to see if they have one in, and may be cheakey and ask if i can take it out for a test drive. Hope its a 20vt one, just so i can compare how slow it is against mine, and see if they have changed the handeling at all.

RANT ON
I assume your dti130 8 valve is remapped then cos Ive driven the tdi130 and I own the 20vt (150) and the 20vt is quicker to 60 and faster top end (see seat official figures) so apart from mpg and torque the 20vt is deffo on top mate and don't sound like a tractor :funk:
RANT OFF

Yes Spaniels is nicely modified, it's in his sig.
1.8t maybe quicker to 60 (arguably) and of course will have a better top end (a Diesel doesn't have a top end) but the TDI has ample performance where you can use it. Unless of course you spend endless hours doing 0-60s?
Each to their own.
Note, not anywhere in this post did I mention a TDI being faster than a petrol :bleh:

You've got me on the tractor bit though!

Mine is running around 225 bhp and 350 lbft torque at the min, my 0-60 i would think would be in mid 6's possibly and its top speed is deffinately faster than a standard 20vt. The fuel econemy isnt that great either when giving it a bit of a pasteing it averages between 18-25 mpg and also mine doesnt sound like a tractor.:p ;)

why would someone with a 225bhp tdi go to a dealer and test drive a standard fr20vt just to rub it in

we can all do that and test drive a slower ibiza maybe not the 1.0 mk 1 and 2 owners tho

Just to see how fast mine is and how sloooooooow they are, even a 20vt cupra in standard form i would think, may be slower than mine. Im not ranting, or trying to rub it in, but i am just saying that, A, it doesnt sound like a tractor, B, isnt that economical when being pushed hard and C, i didnt just want to rub it in about how much faster mine is, would like to see how they handle now they have 17's on as standard and see what the new interior is like.
