its a resistor in a box

very cheap and nasty for your engines when put against a proper remap (which would yield 170bhp and 300lbft on a pd130)

it fools the ecu into adding more fuel

whereas a proper remap alters all the parameters so the car safely produces more power

If you want to do it yourself (I did, its crap) search on the internet for the exact restance required then go to maplins and get the resistor. It cost me 15p or something.

All it does it simulate the temperature of a cold morning, the ECU overfuels to compensate.

funny thing is, when my car is warming up it has less power :shrug:
