The ASZ engine has a great teack record. The MK4 Golf is far more reliable than the MK5, and although the 105 engine is more reliable than the 2.0 its not without its problems. But these things can be very regional depending on your customer base.

i'd been led to assume that a turbo from a PD160 would bolt straight on replacing a turbo on a PD130, but this reads different :confused:



are you aware of mike's car history and the spec of his current car :shrug:
if anybodys done his research into big turbo's, its mike ;)

was it not a tuner that did the research?

The ibiza/polo/fabia's are based on a different chassis to the golf's, i was in a rush when i posted, and i dont like posting, lol

I think the answer to the OP question has been found so the bullspit can end, lol

The PD160 is only in the ibizas, the only difference in that and a PD150 is the front mount and mapping (some ancillaries will be different due to the different chassis.)

I only stated the A3/A4 ect. as someone asked what it was, its how they refer to them in america.

The difference though is the Ibiza fitment. The PD150 is fitted to the Leon and the MK4 Golf, the PD 160 is Ibiza so the compressor housing needs to be turned so the pipe work lines up.

to clock the compressor housing is a peice of cake, slaken about 8 bolts and turn it any way you desire, lol
