Experience with Vogtland springs?

Looking into getting some lowering springs and came across these:

The manufacturer has been around a while and they're german made so must be good. Has anyone had any experience with these? I'm curious because of the lower price tag.

Im trying to find definite answer on this, also asked this question here but nobody has answered me...based on what a read on other forums some people are for new shocks with lowering kit and some lower with oem shocks. So i dont really know... I have electronic damping so I don't really want to destroy my shock as they are new. New coilover kit with electronic damping is 2300e from KW....

Being German made doesn't necessarily make them good, ever country makes cheap products at a cost.

These are budget springs, so expect a budget ride.. if you are lowering on standard shocks then you will of course be changing the spring rate that the damper is designed to work with so maybe slower to react, giving a harsh ride.

I have H&R springs on standard shocks and the ride is hard, very hard.. although I don't bob down the road like I've seen some lowered cars. I've got used to it and actually don't find it too bad now. I chose to go down this route until my dampers give up and them I will buy the Koni shocks that are correct for my springs.

If your shocks are in good condition then I would say give it a go, you should expect it to be a little more crashy on the bumpy stuff, but reasonably settled on smooth roads.... if you can find some.

Worst case is you'll either change then back and sell the springs on, or put up with it until you can buy the correct dampers.

Personally would got for H&R or Eibach springs.

Shocks will be fine unless they've done 60k+ miles.

Personally I had my stock shocks replaced at 40k (km) - they were shot. 2 out of 4 had oil leaks on the outside. True, greek roads are riddled with potholes and imperfections and the shocks take some beating. I know you guys complain about your B-roads, but I've lived in the UK for 3 1/2 years and your roads are much better. Any hoo, I switched to Bilsteins and I am chuffed to bits. The car is not harsher / firmer, but the handling response has definitely improved / sharpened up and the bump response is so, so, so much better and comfier. On the rebound the bilsteins feel more or less like the stock shocks.

I have some brand new H&R springs for sale which i bought in error as they dont fit my Cupra..

How much you talking? I'm slowly putting the idea to the back of my head since Seat have come out and said they have a 'surprise' in store for the cupra next year. If it's awd I'll defo be swapping in which I won't be wanting springs straight away!

Also why don't they fit?

Im after £100 as i need/want a quick sale so that I can get some other's for my Cupra.

They did fit but because they wheren't designed for a Cupra they only gave a slight drop and I want more.
