carlisle, the frozen north
hi, i purchased a remus back box from here, fitted relatively easily to my mk2, however my 1.4 has differant diameter pipes, i had to create a reducer on spec (wire wool and exhaust putty!!!!) (well it worked damnit lol ) however i pannicked at realising the mounts didnt line up properly, i managed to fettle withe the aid of a cable tie to help hold the rear rubber onto its mount without it slipping toward the rear of the car and falling off, and dare i say it, a metal coat hanger (it was getting dark by this point and i was committed to the fit) at the front between the exhausts front bracket and the rubber mount, thus extending the hanger.
not the neatest of jobs but it does line up correctly without hitting both the car body or the road (and i have some mean speed humps in my area). i have since managed toget a fitting kit designed for the mk 3 from the seller, however i have still to tackle that as it is on and working fine, (not a high priority.
on the subject of the sound, the mk3 box sounds awesome, not chavvy and loud, but a nice tunned sounding burble which has a nice tone as the revs pick up.

hope this helps
