Exhaust Resonator - Cupra

i went to get my resonator taken off and a straight pipe put in there, was quoted 60 quid...

very tempting.. has any one else done this?

I had a full milltek resonated system, and got them to make it non resonated, basically replace it with a straight pipe. Was about 120 including labour.

Went to a local exhaust shop that did it in 15 minutes for 20 euro. They used a 65mm pipe that was tapered so the two cut ends where the resonator had been fitted perfectly.

Sound at idle was slightly louder but when driving you could now tell the car was announcing itself. For those that like a louder exhaust it was a nice note with the stock muffler still doing an excellent job. Droning in the car is to be expected but in the front not too noticeable though back seat passengers might have a bigger problem.

look on the first side of this thread, there is picture, cupra has one cat behind engine and second on the floor, so cut the second and resonator, but be ready that your cupra will be very noisy car

This is one thing i dont like about the current exhuast sound, its not very loud..

Now i dont want a suped up chav-tastic corsa sound...like a really huge bee...you know the one.
