Exhaust knocking

Hi
I've got a 2.0 16v , thankfully I 've not had too many problem with her. I do have one though, an annoying exhaust rattle/clunk whenever I accelerate. It seems worth under full throttle through the gears, making a loud almost grinding noise through to a breif knock/rattle if i blip the throttle in 5th.

I've looked under the car and it seems as if an exhaust clamp that is just forward of the fuel tank is coming in to contact with a metal lip that just in front of the tank whenever the accelerator is applied.

To me this sais either two things, exhaust mount or engine mount. Im not sure which to be honest, I can't really feel the engine moving about anymore than it used to, but likewise I can't see any broken exhaust rubbers ( how many does this car have?)

Any ideas are greatly welcome, before I go insane with the constant noise :p

i had a knocking noise when giving it gas, cut out after around 2.5k on my 1.4

was the clamp between the mid box pipe and the cat pipe, had caught it and needed replacing

Right, had the exhaust checked, nothing wrong with that. Must be an engine mount, seems to be a lot of movement when i shake it by hand. Question is...which one is going to cause this problem? Seems to be one on the back of the gearbox, front on the front right and i presume one somewhere else?
Also, where's the cheapest place to get one? vwspares.co.uk want about 20+ vat?

THanks

Nah, its deffo the mount, any idea which one would cause backwards movement in the engine?
