Has anyone else experienced the terrible knocking sound the exhaust makes when you have lowered your Cupra. Im pretty sure its knocking against the rear axle. Do I have to bring the back up to stop it, or is there another solution. Its pretty much driving me mental! [:@]

get a piece of silicon and rap it round the rear beam, that will shut it up mate:rolleyes:

Surely the silicon will melt as well? I dont fancy smelling burning silicon everytime I get out of the motor... I'll have to have a good look under it this weekend. I took it to a tyre and exhaust place and they told me to brng the back end up 20mm. It looks decent low, so i'd rather come to some other solution.

ive tried a hundred things but they all melt, what im going to do next is wrap either the rear beam or the exhaust in the insulation that is used to wrap manifolds, dunno if it'll work but it'll not melt :)

Best thing is a jubilee clip around the hangers, that way its heat resistant and adjustable too. Only problem i've found is that if i lift it too much to avoid fouling on the rear beam i get the mid section silencer vibrating on the tunnel. I think its quite a common problem with Milltek systems on a lowered Ibiza unfortunately. I will re-fit mine properly when i get chance.

I had a full exhaust system done from powerflow in taunton they raised the whole system and now no knocking. Cost me £175 all in (as i had my own backbox) and the work done was mint! no bodges at all checked the other week no rust and its been 8 months. Centre section only was £100. Well worth it as it comes with lifetime warranty

Ill have to try and get this onto a ramp this weekend and see if I can sort it out. Im thinking of getting a new exhaust in a few weeks, so I might just wait till then. I'm not sure how im going to get someone to use their ramp tho...

"Excuse me mate, do you mind if I use your ramp for an hour..." Hmmm, not gonna happen.
