exhaust fumes?

hi all,been getting petrol smell through heating i think,or something like,whichever settings i have it on it has strange smell,i have cat back exhaust fitted so wondered wether this is linked?although exhaust been on 18months ish and heating was fine up until recently. filters? any ideas ,cheers.

does is smell like petrol or exhaust fumes?

Exhaust fumes can be turbo gasket or injector seats. It could be a split oil breather as well as mine smelt a bit exhausty when one went.

Have you had it on vag com?

hi guys my 52 reg leon cupra is smelling of petrol inside the car when i put the heater on, you saying it could be the turbo gasket or injector seats, what prices we looking at??

hi all,mentioned before that been having strange smell when heating is on,kind of fumey not petrol smell though if that makes sense,although not been bad recently,anyhow car has been hesitant on cold start up on a morning,revs slightly dropping and a bit jerky,fine once driving and warm. Car is cupra 180 02 plate 60,000miles.Should i always run super unleaded as mainly use normal 95ron.?any advice would be great. cheers.

It was my breather pipe which had spilt, two secs to repair
