The company i'm dealing with called me today to say that my Candy White FR TDI would be a 16 week wait! although 2 weeks ago they said 8! However, they said they have a TDI FR with the exact same spec but in Emoicion Red & delivery will be 7 weeks instead. As my new job starts on Sept 10th i thought i'd better had. So there it is, Spanking new FR TDI to arrive Sept 11th! :funk:

The lady i spoke to will call me in a couple of weeks to give me the chassis number & my new registration, and its going to be a 57 plate
Now i have an official date it makes things so much more exciting!

Just incidently what spec have you gone for on the FR?
I phoned up tuesday to see about changing my red fr for a different colour, which they have now. That was due to be delivered on the 11th. Im just wondering if its the one i have changed??

Derrrr....just seen the bottom of your post. Mine was red, bluetooth and 18" wheels but no convenience pack. Wonder if its the same car with just the pack added??

I'm not sure how easy it is to add options after the build order has been placed.

I ordered my Cupra at the end of May, due at the dealers end of June for me to collect early July. The car was supposed to be for the dealer and was already in the build queue.

Towards mid June rang for a progress report as I was going on hol for 2 weeks and they said the build week has been delayed. I then asked as it wasn't apparently getting built for another 3 weeks, could I change the spec as I fancied bluetooth. The answer was no I couldn't change spec as the build order has been place, even though the car wasn't waiting to be built yet.

Just seems a coincidence tho that it has happened on the same 2 days and the spec/colour is almost identical and the delivery date is the same.

Hah, thats quite uncanny eh? But then i suppose there must be a great deal of these motors being dealt with in the UK, adn i'd push for the Convenience pack if i were you! Have Auto wipers on my GTi-6 adn you cant beat 'em :)
