i ordered ESP on my Ibiza which i picked up on friday after a 3 month wait

however i see no button for the ESP, on the SC sport it says you get Hill hold control with ESP but i still roll back on hills,

just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, not getting stuff you ordered, i paid £281.00 pounds for it so i think i should get it,

if anyone else has had this problem can you tell me what you did, did you get your money back or did they send the car off to have it put on?

Hi Dave,

ESP is on all the time.

Hill hold is included in vehicles with ESP only works when the following conditions are met:
1) Doors closed
2) Brake pedal pressed down
3) Vehicle is in Neutral
The system (Hill hold) is activated on engaging gear.

If the above conditions are not met, hill hold will not be activated and you will roll back.

Hi Dave,

Thats a different story then.
The ESP is shown next to the tyre monitor indicator light on the centre consule just in front of the gear lever shown in figure 38, page 63 of the manual.
If its not showing in your car then it's for the dealer to compensate you for this & not just a refund of the ESP but for your disappointment of not getting what you wanted & ordered.
Good luck tomorrow & keep us updated.

was it something you added as an extra when you ordered the car? or seen it listed as standard fitment somewhere in the meantine ?

your original post seems to say both so it's a little confusing

Seat UK site at present (Current specification of all models reflect model year 2010 specification)

lists it as an available 'option' for your model for sure but an extra - not standard

(ESP with Hill Hold, EBA and Tyre Pressure Monitoring)

have you got a copy of the order/invoice stating it was selected and/or paid for initially ?

yes they invoiced me and charged me

owcha !!! :banned: looks like someone is in trouble then :headhurt: be honest though we are all human but as it was a charged extra you would think it would have been checked ? no ?

keep copies of em both and ask your supplying dealer what he suggests is to be done about the lack of option you both ordered, invoiced and seem to have paid for yet find no trace of ???

before you do - check for the button as suggested above :p

just been up to the dealership they were very good actually, got a full refund, and they gave me car mats for free, and because i was intrested in the body kit he said he will do the parts at half price and fitting will be free, if i decide i dont want the body kit he said he will sort me some compensation ££££ so im very happy thanks for your help guys

ps he showed me the Email he sent through to the seat factory which clearly stated ESP, it turns out you couldnt have ESP if you have leather interior, not sure why, but if any one else has ordered there car with ESP and leather ring your dealer ASAP and get them to confirm it
