i ordered ESP on my Ibiza which i picked up on friday after a 3 month wait

however i see no button for the ESP, on the SC sport it says you get Hill hold control with ESP but i still roll back on hills,

just wondering if this has happened to anyone else, not getting stuff you ordered, i paid £281.00 pounds for it so i think i should get it,

if anyone else has had this problem can you tell me what you did, did you get your money back or did they send the car off to have it put on?

yeah i went into the dealership this morning, but the guy that was in there wasnt sure about it so im going back tomorow to see the technician guy, just wondering if there is any chance it could be built in, although my friend has a 182 clio sport and he has a button to switch the Esp on

i have the order form with the extras i ordered as there was a few lol,

climate control
leather seats
window tints
17" black alloys
custom dash
honeycomb grill
ESP (apparently)

i cant see it being economical to build it in. Or something id want doing anyway. The last thing you want is ESP playing up.

So what can they do to put it right?
id say these are the options:
1. they refund cost of ESP.
2. Refund cost of ESP and make a good will payment or offer services etc..
3. See if they can swap it for another nearly new car with ESP.
4. Take it back and re-order.

you should give them reasonable opportunity to put things right, but if they need to re-order id say as the wait is so long id be pushy for a refund. (but then im baised as im not really a fan of buying brand new).

If it was ordered by them it will have the relevant code on the order they submitted to Seat. Get them to check it and also where they wrote down what you asked for, it will either be Seats fault or the dealers for not ordering what you asked for.
Either way i would be asking for what I ordered in the first place and not accept any offers/partial refund. After all it`s what you wanted.

i see where you are coming from, i went in today but the guy i bought mine off was not in so in going back tomorrow morning, i looked at the order form and it clearly says ESP.

im not sure about waiting for it to go back though, couldnt manage with out a car as i work full time

EDIT i wouldnt settle for a partial refund either not a chance it would have to be full or more

The code is PC4 which should be on the order form to Seat.
You probably have a button (not got a mk5 myself yet) which should say esp, or tcs (for traction control)if they never put the option on.
You also should have a button for resetting the tyre pressure monitoring. Obviously you have neither

Good luck tomorrow

yeah i had a look at the FR that was in the show room and it had an ESP button, i would quite like it for the tyre pressure warning light and the hill hold control, does anyone have any idea how long it would take to send it back and get it put on? if this is possible

We got ESP as an option, because the 1.4 SE has drum brake at the rear as standard but disc with the ESP.
The ESP is on all the time and the button switches it off (flashing light comes on dash of car skidding).
The hill hold I have never been able to use.
The tyre pressure warning is useful and has worked when the pressue on one tyre dropped 3 PSI.

yeah they manual,

hill hold control senses your on a hill and holds the car still for 2 seconds while you take your foot off the brake to go to the gas, so it stops you rolling back, hope this helps

EDIT: its for the lazy folk among us haha

Yes - the ESP and the Tyre set button both near the gear stick with the lock / unlock / heated window / Aux etc.

The hill hold I honestly have never noticed working. If you read the manual it has a certain sequance to set as you wait at lights etc - I think.

It also has EBA in the package (electronic brake assist) - this automatically kicks in when you really need the brakes. Trust me it really works.

might be worth sending my car back then and getting it fitted, it sounds helpfull, what do you do with the tyre set button by the way?

When the light comes on check your pressures on all tyres and adjust.

Then get in the car and press the tyre set button until it peeps.

This has set the new pressures.
