Epc?

Right i've had a search and couldn't really find what i was looking for.

I got my car back today after having the pedal box changed and all is fine but now i've got the EPC light on, ive looked im my hand book and says something to do with the accelerator pedal. The car is running better than it ever has since the swap its just that damn orange light on the dash is gettin on my tits!

how would you get this calibrated? (sorry, i'm getting the same problem you see)

Have to check that both switches are being depressed at the same time and properly.

if youve had the pedal boxes replaced then the clutch and brake swith will both have been disconected. if you apply the brake pedal and the lights come on and everything seems ok then its likly you just need the codes clearing.

Mine was the clutch pedal sensor £12.50 and a piece of piss to fit.

I have just had this problem vag-com`d it and brake light switch came up just fitted new one cleared the code got a mile down road and bang right back on

Just reviving an old thread here. Did a long trip this weekend, 300mile round trip. Car was fine on the way down and on the way back. 20miles from home, doing about 50mph in 5th gear and the EPC light pops on. Car is driving fine and nothing seems wrong. EML light is on and has been on for ages, just the SAI which is no problem.

As the thread says its probably the break light switch.....hope so!!!! Will get her VAG'comd next week!

have the same problem got faultcode on vag-com for the breake light switch get a new one then and try that first
