Went out my drive to take it a little spin before it went in for its MOT.
Got to the end of the street and the same thing happened again. No revs and EPC light back on. Urgh!!!
It was a replacement ECU I bought of a guy Tucker, and was mapped.
So now I'm gong to try and get the original ECU I have repaired, replace my back lambda as thats still throwing up faults on vagcom, check all the wiring from ECU to lambda. If that still fails then I'm going to bite the bullet and take it too a Seat Dealer.
That's major crap, you'd be better off re-looming your car yourself, changing that part of the loom than paying through the nose from the stealers, im always happy to help,
Hi all i bought a mk3 cupra a few weeks back and we left the bloke with no lights and running fine we went to fill up before taking it home and shortly after it hand no power ran like **** but still went along slowly(THE EPC LIGHT CAME ON)! however when we turned the TCS OFF it drove back perfectly with no issue.
Anyone know the cause of this? It has now also come up with an engine diagnostics light.
i adapted another ecu 2 my car via vag com from ross teck and now runns fine,
il have to take it on a private road to test it tomoz and let you all know how it goes.
it seems that 1 of the exhaust sensors blew my ecu!

That's what happened too mine... Caused by my exhaust sensor. Replaced the front one, as thats what I thought was the dodgy one, fitted the replacement ECU and adapted it. Took it out for a spin then that blew also. Turns out it was both sensors... So second ECU blown for nothing!!!
Hopefully this doesn't happen to you mate.
I'm sending my first and original ECU away tomorrow to hopefully get repaired.
it been a while since i've been in here to see what happened with everyone's car so did any of you manage to sort the problems out because i no i never i ended up breaking it and went out and bought another one LOL
mine did exactly the same the other day no throttle and epc light came on whilst driving! siple fix though cracked plug on the back of the throttle body cleared the fault codes, sorted
Solved mine in the end, found the clutch switch wanted pushing in and then the EPC light went out and after having both wheels off and put back and replacing wishbone bushes the TCS works.
