Had mine to JBS today and had the CC map put on my FR170, car feels much better and pulls alot harder through all the gears:)

My drive home was 75 miles and i give it the beans and it never skipped a beat, i was a bit worried about having it done with all this going on above but as far as first impressions go it happy days from me :funk:

Big thanks to Mike and the boys there for squeezing me in .

Hi booked my new fr in on Saturday, have you had grief as reading the other messages its a little alarming, I've had my last two vw's done with James and the lads at JBS and the results have been fantastic, never used the CC as both have been revo'd.
Any body else had grief??:help:

Thanks

dpf filter has jus gone dunno wat to do im under pressure help

What do you mean ??

If the DPF light is on, but you've still got full power, then find long dual-carriage way or motorway, stick it in 3rd, 3,800 rpm, cruise on, then go up the road for about 15 - 20 mins, that will clear it.. Constant revs is what you need, accelerating and slowing down is not what you want to be doing.

If its DPF light on, then into limp mode ... then its a dealer visit I'm afraid.
Learn the following words**
"I was driving down xyz road at about 50 - 60mph and the DPF light came on, so I followed the instructions in the hand book and drove it along xyz road at around 2.500rpm but the light didnt go out, then after about 20 mins the engine management light came on and it lost power, I managed to get it home and called you" :)

** I've never done the following ... honest .... never .. not at all ... not once .. not twice .. and certainly not three times ... honest!

LOL :D

And when the word "Re-Map" is used, your natural reply with a complete poker face is "huh??? whats that??? "

Allow them to do whatever they want to the car, including re-flashing the ECU if they want, then you just have to have a nice word with the re-map company to re-flash the map back on once the dealer has fixed it ;)

Whatever you do, say its must be a fault, you;ve done everything that your meant to do, and insist that Seat fix it ... for free ... and get a courtesy car out of them as well if you can .. :D :D

Interesting posts :):) i to get this engine stutter at times but as far as i know my car is standard it was bought from arnold clark 3 months ago,so does this mean it could be remapped:confused::confused: I mainly do short trips and have only had DPF light on once which a quick blast down the nearest motorway sorted out :)

More likely just one of the sensors I'd have thought... Mine ended up with the pressure sensor and temp sensor...

dont you guys get pissed that when the dpf light comes on you have to go out of your way to clear it? Would have thought SEAT sorted this already. Seems to be affecting more SEAT's than audi's though it seems.

Id never seen the light (so to speak!) until 15k miles when the sensor went down, Im hoping I'll never see it again...

Seems to effect come cars more than others...
