Model Year 23/24 Engine Software Update?

Hello,

I have recently bought a Cupra Formentor 1.4 e hybrid 245hp 2024 model. Really like the car (coming from a GTI 7.5) except for the fantastic climate control and its amazing backlit technology...

My question here is does anyone know anything about Engine Software Updates? Should they regularly be updated?
OBD11 tells me I have Software Version 2971 yet it tells that there is newer version out: 3385.

Anyone knows the difference between the versions? Any improvements? Does Cupra update your engine during car service? Or is this insignificant?

Updates are only performed if there's a service campaign/recall, or if the owner reports issues to the dealer that meet the criteria mentioned in TPIs/TSBs containing an update.

I see, but wouldn't any update have some overall improvement? And why would only some cars need the update while others won't?
