i have noticed a weird thing with my 1.4 ibiza over the last couple of weeks

when coming to a stop when i put my foot on the clutch and break, it seems as if it drops down abd bouces back up to normal idle revving

but when idling i have noticed it seems to be up and down as if you are slightly taking off the clutch to move off, but without giving enough gas. and you can feel it as well

is this a case of spark plugs needing to be replaced, or just the cold weather. or am i being paranoid?

I've got a similar problem on my Leon Cupra 02. Have had two of the original ignition coils fail on separate occasions - all have now been replaced under warranty f.o.c. by Seat - note that new coils have a 5 year warranty if (when) fail again! Its always so great when the breakdown driver says "don't see many of these cars breaking down! Arrghhh!!"

Also had engine coolant temperature sensor changed (twice), horn (twice), rear windscreen wiper, cigarette lighter fuse blown, breather pipe leaks. Anyone want to buy a used Leon - only 55,000 miles!!! :censored:

Anyway I digress - mine hunts whilst idling as well and recently have had problem starting on damp mornings. Engine fires up but refuses to idle - foot on the gas just kills it. Once warmed up its fine. I'm going to try new ignition leads first and then back to the "stealer" if that doesn't work unless anyone has any other ideas?

Same here

but very small in comparison to you guys....

Just when costing to a stop....

and mostly on very cold days like today.....brrrrrrrrrr....
mine is most noticeable then, but revving seems off when idle in traffic

hoping its just the weather causing the problem
