Engine Noises

Guys.

The engine on my Cupra is “pulsing” between 800 & 1000rpm when stationary. I have been using my aircon in this hot weather a lot and was wondering if it was just down to that as I know the noise from the engine differs when using or not.

Or is it something else?

mine does that with the aircon on mate, did u try switching it off and then seeing what it sounds like??

Mine is fine with the aircon off but you can hear the extra load the aircon is making when it's on.

Yeah I have tried that and it does change.

I'm probably making a mounting out of a mole hill here, but want to make sure that it is the aircon. I know it does, but i just thought there would be a small increase in rpm from the enginer not pulsing as such.

Most definatly aircon, as when mine comes on you can hear it very clearly and the revs drop. As does Performance.
