Has anyone else suffered with this problem?.

Car is Ibiza Mk4 TDi 130 Sport

Noticed the light come on today engine seemed to run fine.
Switched off for about an hour, started up fine again ie no light on, ran to friends home fine, switched engine on after about 2 hours problem back.

Ran home with light on seemed to run fine

Does anyone have VAG COM and Lead in Littlehampton area as would really like to check this out, before taking it to the stealers

Cheers for any help.

It`s an engine warning light which comes on if the ECU thinks there is something wrong with your engine. It`s there for a reason . Get a friend with VAGCOM to check the car or take it to a garage for them to check it for you.

I have a Ibiza FR TDI 130 where the diagnosis light is on and the coil light is flashing, this started yesterday. Yet the car still drives well. It has done 47,500 miles. Any one else had this problem? I will be taking it to garage on Wednesday.

Mine came on and it was down to the water temperature sensor. Replaced and all ok now.

it could just be a faulty sensor, i drove around with mine on for 2weeks as i got told it was the lander sensor that was faulty but it didnt appear to effect the cars performance.

I got it sorted took it to a VW specialist and don't know if it is true or not but it was down to the cam belt and replaced along with the water pump and service drives really well now. Thanks to everyone for their advice
