Hi,
Im a little noob in this area but think its understandable as Im just starting and need to learn.

Anyway,
I've got a 1.4 16V BCA engine and looking to get some parts of 1.6 16V. Mainly it will be inlet manifold and throttle body. Not sure what else I can swap over but I know that there where people who swapped that parts. Question is - I found those parts but the engine in the 1.6 16V was BCB and mine is BCA.

Will parts from different engine code fit my engine?
Can someone also explain me what else I could swap over ?

Thanks.

1.4 and 1.6 liter engines are with different engine codes because they are different engines. Unfortunately I can't tell can you swap parts between those two engines. It might be possible if they use same base motor but stroke and bore are different. Inlet and exhaust manis depents are cylinder heads close enough. Port size and bolt patterns, you might be able to check that if you can find drawings of inlet and exhaust manis gaskets.

From what I know, some of the parts of 1.6 16V should fit my 1.4 16V but not exactly sure about the codes as I know there is 1.4 16V with a different engine code than mine. 1.6 16V engine block looks the same (mainly the inside is different) but the inlet manifold and the throttle body is different.
