Engine check logging with VAG COM

Hi all,

Been tinkering trying to fix a few faults relating to a boost leak (which does seem to have gone now) but thought I'd like to do a check on several main engine related parts but still getting to grips with this all so was wondering what are the good VAG COM logs to run and in particular what is the good engine stress to run whilst logging? In particular the things I want to check are:

1. MAF - done by logging block 002 AFAIK, but I've seen recommendations of running 2nd year to the read line or 3/4 gear from 3000 rpm to red line. Would like to know people's recommendations - easiest to do for me would be a 2nd gear to the red line. And you can tell the results based on the g/s output?

2. Coil packs - done by logging 015 and 016 AFAIK, was thinking of doing these at the same time as the MAF. Will these misfire in any gear at any speed? Did read something about going 30mph in 5th and then foot down?

3. N75/N249 - are these 115 and 118? Don't really know what to look for on these and if there is a particular driving test to stress these (assume same as MAF)?

Anything easy you recommend?

Hi there, on the coil logging did around a 30 minute drive but was round town so only got upto 50 on a A road, but did put foot down whilst in 5th at 30; few quick accelerates from standstill and no misfire counts, so assume they're ok - or do you need to try a blast on them whilst on the motorway?

Cheers
