as title said , is it possible? I think that my compression may be to low and thinking of putting standard pistons back in but may bore to 82.5 @ 9-1 if possible without removing engine

engine out, block removed then off to be machined unless they can fit your car in the vice as well:lol:

compression too low because??????? of what?
std bore now is it?

had rods and be pistons fitted , bought be pistons from state
Standard bore but they are meant to be 8.5 - 1 but mike thinks they are lower due to the amount of timing etc he is able to run. Boost is at 2.1 now with 51c max inlet temp and still no pull back

Is that a bad thing?

Obviously if its "too" low then I guess it'll be sluggish off boost - what does it drive like? If it drives OK and you can dial in loads of timing I don't see the problem

Will always have to remove the engine if you are looking to bore or even hone for that matter.

You can't do a proper rebore/hone in situ. Maybe a light hone if the crosshatch is in place and standard size pistons but is certainly not something i would want to do!

And then when you break off the oil squirter nozzles you will have to remove the crank to get @ them properly.

Flex-hone possible in situ. Wouldn't be able to go further than that i would have thought.
