I believe that's something to do with VWFS entering a spec change as a new quote rather than an amendment to an existing one in the way the likes of BMW do.

Based on my experience of VW as this is my first time dealing with seat.

Just to correct you Baron my dealer rang me in a panic last thursday because the 0% finance was ending on friday. He rang seat Ireland to see if a car in the spec i was looking for was available and was told

I've deal make should be getting car end of week or early next week. i didn't go with the spec i was looking for are 14 to 15 week wait. went with a 184 that had just arrived with Titanium pack and E3700 tradein for a car not worth E200. Theres also a deal going for mudflaps, mats and bootcover cant remember how much but it was for less than getting mudflaps alone on the online configurator which they upgraded to the FR spec and there also enabling Full Link.

Did you come all the way down from Limerick to Galvins?

After dismissing a lease, think I've just been snared by a 1x23 deal for £209 on a cupra black.

Well done, that's the best price I've seen. Just in time as well as I believe the prices jumped a bit today due to an adjustment in the GFVs.

Bugger me i have a £59k Tractor thats on 400hr service intervals & has 5yr warranty all serviced by the dealer, yet i can take aslong as i like to clock up each 400hr interval so why should my Car be any different, it wasnt with the Mk1 Leon FR as it was just every 10,000miles regardless of how long that took
to get too.
Money making con thats all it is....

Drinking na i dont think so...
Iam maybes from a different era to lots on here
But as for this PAYG car ownership aye stuff that.
I paid in full for my Bargain 9month old 4500mile Leon
Used a Rare thing called CASH...
You know them things you can actually still SAVE up... for the rainy day.
If you wanna pay more that its ever worth then fine
If you must have a New car at whatever cost then thats fine also its your money
I buy Tractors & other farm machinery sometimes on HP (Hire Purchase) at the end of the period
the machines then belong to me.
Thats a business choice for diff reasons.
The small amount of Interest charged for the loan period is tax deductible anyways.
None of this applies when buying private Cars.

Like ive said before go & get a Brand New Car theres nowt like one
but its at a price...
Buy one at 6months old with low mileage & 25/30% of its value will have magically vanished.
Of course 20% is the VAT element which is only on Brand new cars & not used.

There is no such thing as 0% either thats a myth.
Its builtin to its price somewhere.

Try haggling 15/18% off a new one from a dealer which some might give & then ask for the makers
0% finance promotion... you will be sadly shown the door.
Oh thats on Full RRP sir.

The Only way to win with a BRAND NEW CAR is to keep it for a few years
I kepy my mk1 FR for 10years...
Owed me nothing...
Best car ive ever had by some margin.
50mpg - 600+ miles from every tank.
did 97000miles in 10years.
Serviced every 10,000
Still has original all original Brake Discs on even now as the 2nd owner lives close by & its at 106,000 miles now.

The world of cheap new cars are going to end by the end of the year. Get a cheap car now from December things will change. Manufacturers this year have targets to meet so will give money away. With the over supply and the drop in residual values and now the EU exit the volumes are going to be much lower which means less discounts.

Road Tax on all new cars will be a minimum of £140 from 2017 aswell
bear that in mind.

Us 2014 model Cars are still on the £20 Roadtax theres no change.

The only way to get any cheaper roadtax is your car has to have Zero emissions...

You can preach all you like about buying outright, but on the £209 lease deal with no deposit I'm on with a brand new cupra 290 black edition, you would probably get a 1.4 leon for that price buying outright.

For £209 a month, I'm driving a top of the range, brand new cupra. Car, tax and depreciation all wrapped up in one nice, extremely low payment.

In my opinion, it's so very silly to but a heavily depreciating asset when you can lease for a fraction of the cost. But, if you want to save up for years and buy outright to lose probably the value of a 2 year lease on the same car, as soon as you drive off the dealership, then that's your choice. As for me, I prefer a low payment and have money to spend on other things in life.

Everyone is brainwashed into not buying anything outright anymore.

plus the fact that 290 cupra is daft money compared to the equ 184TDI FR

you cant go any faster on the roads

Had a chuckle when i see the Diesel still actually has more Torque than all of ya 290hp Petrol.

Had a Blast in the mk1 Cupra R around a Circuit & yes it was faster but honestly id prefer the 150hp PD TDI all day long...

You see all these great Car videos on Youtube etc etc of folks flying in there cars but in the real world
there of no use.
