After seeing Pab's excellent thread here, and having a workshop to spare i decided to have a go meself!

Following his drawing i ended up with these....

I then went for a rake in the storage area at the work and found two gas lifters on a mothballed machine, rated at 500N each. These had a bleed screw for releasing the pressure in the ram and would do perfectly.

Few hours later and......

How much do you have to spend? You could get a downpipe/sports cat to go with your cat back maybe. Would be all set for a stg2 map then

What do you make of your wheels? I keep looking at them and can't decide if I like them or not, and I really wanna see how they look on a lowered car :( What size tyres are you running on them?

Got about £400 quid if i keep gettin overtime the way its goin!

Wheels are Rota Force Time Attack's, and have 205/40/17's on em. I like my wheels, something different and quite funky about em.

Thing i like best is the weight, they weigh nothing! Which means more speed! Can lift one easily with one hand, dunno what theyre made of? Helium?

I've just enquired to Forge about a Carbon engine cover, as i wasnt lucky in the Spanish Factory Lottery, so fingers crossed!

Done a quick shoop of it lowered on its hoop, Very tempting!......

That looks awesome lowered! :D

£400 will easily get you a dp and sports cat, makes a noticeable difference to the power ;)

You'd have enough left over for another small mod too, though I don't know how much a carbon engine cover is.

Quick update here........

Got myself a very schmexy Forge Quickshifter today, so nafter much knuckle scraping and swearing its in! Really makes the gear change much sharper, and there is almost no play going from 1st-2nd or 3rd-4th.

In other news, i have also tinted the rear lights. (yes yes i know it needs a wash!)

Sat nav works great, just hardly ever use it tbh!

Regarding the exhaust, the centre rubber hanger broke during the cold weather and resulted in the tailpipe swinging up and melting a bit of the bumper! Got a new hanger, now just need to get the bumper insert sorted.

a tin of Lens Tint Spray from Ebay, then about three hours worth of polishing and waxing!

The spray ends up leaving a really rough surface, takes aggggges to get it smooth and looking nice.

Yes, a lump hammer proved very useful when I fitted my coilovers :D

The drivers side front was a pain in the ass to remove the original strut because they're so long, and the hub doesn't really drop enough. If you have the tools/knowledge to remove the drive shaft it'd be much easier.

Oh, and maybe replace the top mounts at the same time... might as well while the suspension is off.
