Electric Problems - ***UPDATED - Should make a little more sense now***

Hi All,

Help needed !!!

I've got a 03 reg Cupra and I am having a problem with my electrics.

The mirrors do not work at all, completely dead. The central locking does not engage when using either the key fob or the door controls, but the boot does lock and open work when using both.

When using the key fob the alarm activates fine.

The car is no longer under warranty, but I took it to the local stealer's anyway for a bit of advice and they have said that the alarm needs to be re-set, but that wouldn't explain why the mirrors aren't working and why the doors won't lock when using the button on the door console.

I'm hoping this is a fuse issue, but I have no idea which fuses control what.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check yopur fuse box and for the central locking and mirrors.
There could be a chance of wiring loom got knocked or abit loose.
On the driver side, you need pull out the console and check the connectors.
I had problem with my golf, when it went for tinting, they forgot to plug connector back in

Does anybody know which fuse controls the mirrors and central locking?

NO: 1 , 10amps

CENTRAL LOCKING
NO: 6, 5amps
NO: 14, 10amps
NO: 38, 10amps

with regards to your mirrors,try disconnecting & then reconnecting the battery.Worked for me.
