Electric folding mirrors.

I am toying with the idea of fitting electric folding mirrors from a Leon to my Octavia as I currently have to park in the street and fold the mirrors in all the time.

I have a few questions.

1) Which models came with electric folding mirrors as standard?

2) Within the Leon MKI range, are these easily interchangable? has anyone done it?

3) Is the motor mounted in the base or in the mirror housing?

4) Are they controlled independently of the central convenience system?

5) Any pictures of the set up without the cover/mirror glass in place would be a real help.

I have them in my 2001 Leon 20VT Sport but I'm not sure if they were an option or standard at the time. They will be well worth the pain. They're an excellent toy to have .

"FOLDING MIRRORS
Some cars had them, then it was deleted and now some Leons have them again. Look on the remote mirror button, if you have three mirror graphics, the bottom one is for folding in. Note they fold in at different angles as they are mounted slightly differently. If the mirrors are folded in by hand, then expect to hear a loud click as the motors engage and pick up the mirror mechanism."
