Hi Guys,

Well you'll all be glad to know my car is now back on the road after the headgasket going and having another engine put in!

Just a quick question, from experience what have people fitted to their cars Pro-Kit or Sportline?

I only ask as I worry about the Sportline's being too low and will scrape the already "LLOOOOWW" alloy sump.

As for ride comfort, difference between them?

I still want to retain some comfort so will probs go with the most comfortable ones.

Thanks,

Dominic

Iv got H&R lowering springs (which drop it a futher 20mm then standard LCR height) ride is perfect, and stance is great. Not low enough to rub arches or scrap the sump - plus, they were like £119 and I can still go up and down most kerbs :)

see my readers ride for pics

Thanks for reply CupraTim.

Two questions, do you know if the struts are the same between the TDI 110 and Cupra R?

And where did you get those from, for soooo cheap!!!

Thanks,

Dominic

Your display pic through me - thought you had a Cupra R - but you dont you just have the Cupra R bumper!

I am not sure if they will fit, do a search on the forums for TDI suspension and you should get a good result - also speak to Damian at DPM performance (sponsored link on forum homepage) and he knows everything about the suspension and prices etc.. thats where I got mine from.

The Pro springs are a very subtle drop and also give an even stance, the Sportlines are more aggressive and give you a lower stance at the front. As for comfort they're very similar but the Pro springs do edge it.

Im running the pro springs on the cupra r and they are pretty good! I'd suggest them, harsh ride with standard shocks though imo! But firm.

That's what I'm afraid of! I drive down mostly country roads to work and it's pretty harsh at the moment, let alone with pro-kit!!!

But then again you have probably 225/40/18 tires which don't help the ride quality??

Damian,

How much for the Pro-Kit springs then?

Thanks,

Dominic

Yeah your right with the tyre size :p I'm just being honest, it is well worth it when your on some nice smooth roads on a dry day! If you drive horrible country roads all the time, buy a land rover :p pros out weigh the cons for me, the roads here aren't maintained very well and I get by :)

I've been running with Eibach Sportline springs for ages and did find them harsher than standard but I expected that. The ride height is 100% better than standard and after a while they do settle down.

Awesome looks good height there! My question to you then is, have you had any problems with your sump scraping over speed bumps or objects on the road?

Hi mate, I don't get any problems with the sump on roads or over speed bumps, as long as you don't drive like Duke of Hazard!!!!!
I do have to watch when going in or out of certain driveways but I know which ones they are so just park on road.
Hope that answers your query

Hi! I've bought the Eibach Sportline springs but i don't know if it's possible to fit them on the stock dampers. Do you have the original ones fitted on your Leon? And in case, do you had any problem?
Thanks!

I put my lowering springs (Vogtland 35mm) on the standard dampers of my TDi. Been running this way for over 2 years on them now with no problems.
