Just block both pipes with a screw and zip tie to secure it in and that's it. Just tuck those pipes away for safe keeping.

Depending on year, you'll have to get the EGR mapped out to stop a EML appearing.

That easy!

Though, the mapping out of the EGR, I did myself after a little learning.

Originally replaced with a Darkside EGR Delete Pipe as my old EGR was leaking however, found my engine shutdown rough due to the lack of ASV (anti-shudder valve).

That was replaced with a fully working EGR valve just blocked off and unplugged.

Actually still got that EGR delete in the shed...

You legend thanks dan doesn't look too bad how do you find it without the asv? Benefits outweigh the cons?

Hiya buddy, you're welcome!!

The lack of asv doesn't really bother me. It's sometimes louder than other times but it's not bad at all. It wouldn'tmake people turn their heads loud. Just sounds a little bit rougher than normal, a bit like how mine sounded when the dmf wwas dying and turning off.

I would with out a doubt say it's worth it. The egr is just bad news altogether.

An often over looked point to the egr is that it negates the effect of the intercooler. You're cooling down your air so it makes it more dense with oxygen then by subjecting it to the hot gases from the egr you're making them hot again!! So you're losing power and mpg with it enabled.

Egr delete removes hesitation too improving pickup :)

I know I had a glance I got to by darkside it was a two piece delete and you need to delete the cooler pipe? Anyone done this or is it just an aesthetic thing?

you can leave the cooler bolted to the manifold and with its water pipes attached. I removed it and rotated one pipe and joined it to another above the gearbox. Been fine for 20k miles
