Hi
Got myself an ecomotive and I'm looking for a decent tuning box as I'm not to keen on a remap with it being a lease car.
It's the 1.6 cr model and I wouldn't say it's slow but I could just do with some extra poke for overtaking etc.
Has anyone fitted one to there 1600 cr and if so which one did you use and what sort of gains were achieved.

Muchos gratious

ive a Copa SE 1.6TDI and wanted to get it remapped so i rung a firm called ************ local to me! they said they couldnt remap these engines but that they could supply a tuning box with there custom map in it for £300+VAT and that it would give a power gain of 30BHP! havent bit the bullet "yet" lol but hope this helps a little.

Try DTUK I had one on my vectra c did the job, got it cheap off eBay too, took about 2mins to fit, Instant 30bhp not bad for £60 lol

Whereas your comment fits into the same bracket off...

Inflatable dart boards
Powdered water
Chocolate fire surrounds

Basically useless and uninformed,I asked a question and wanted an answer not sarcasm.

While I agree that tuning an ecomotive is contradictive to the terms, the guy just wants some info on doing something to his car. Don't shoot him down just because you don't agree with him.
Besides which, I've been out with some cracking looking transvestites.

Agree with steroidchris, no harm in getting the info. the reason i haven't got a tuning box on my SE Copa is because ive a M3 to play with, but people wouldnt be going to the bother of developing software to extract a little more BHP for these engines if everyone thought it fitted into that bracket

Ryan, looking at DTUK's website it looks as though there isn't a tuning box for a 1.6 CR TDI Leon at present but they do do one for a golf Bluemotion 1.6 CR Tdi, I would give them a ring and speak to the owner Andrew, he is a top fella and if he can help you he will.

On a side note I popped in to Juicy Detailing a couple of weeks ago to pick up some cleaning supplies and as it happens they share the same unit as DTUK at Tanfield Lea. After a bit crack with Andrew and his brother they took me for a ride in their Leon FR 2.0 CR Tdi 170 with one of their tuning boxes fitted, and boy did it fly, what a difference to standard but it still retained the stock super smooth power delivery.

Thanks for the advice :)
Yeah I noticed there wasn't one for the ecomotive but was for the bluemotion I might have to call in to dtuk because tanfield is only about 20 minuites from where I live.
