So just buy the filter and it will fit straight on? In place of the whole air box I guess? No other kit needed? (Straight away)

i ordered a 80mm piece of pipe but that was to extend the cone closer to the wing, however i have also ordered a piece of hose but i donty think i will need it. will have to wait and see when the cone arrives.
anyone got any pics?

Yes took me all of 10mins to fit. Im afraid it wont fit your car, im not sure if they have a similar product. I know they do straight forward open cone air filters for your car which will increase your power and give you that lovely turbo spool up sound.

thats a shame but cheers for reply, i can get an open cone filter from AmD so prob buy it and fit it myself.

Yep, just remove the airbox and fit the filter. I'd buy a heatshield off eBay as well so to hold it in place and not bump about as the Maf really doesn't like that. I paid £25 for mine so it's a cheap item.

i found an air filter with heat shield on the awesome gti website and im sure it willfit my FR, it looks identical to the one for the LCR but states its for the 1.8t
i can post a link yet as im a newbie lol

No need for an oil filter if you remove the airbox and fit a cone,
