Dump valve Question

i know this has probably been asked befor but i cant find the answer

i currently have a bailey dv on my ibiza cupra which has been on there scince 2005 it seems to let off the boost at really low revs and sometimes while i am kind of accelerating slowly

would this be a knackered or week spring ?
should i get a different one? eg forge
or can i get it serviced?

my car is remapped to 223 bhp
on standered ko3 turbo
dynatwist filter
fmic
etc etc

what sort of bailey DV? your car should run a re-circulating DV.could possibly be a loose or split hose.
Or liek you suspect the spring(if it has a spring,some use a diaphram.)

right sort of valve ,but as posted above prone to fail.check your hoses first,then possibly try and put another on to see if its the valve.

looks like ill be going to forge then as its only up the road

next question is what colour spring?

i have no idea how much boost im running as i need a boost guage

think my old vrs had a yellow spring(222bhp approx)
if forge are up the road,drop by and ask their advice,they are very very helpful chaps.

cool do u think forge will know what spring i need or will they give me a few to try?

they will know what you need mate.make sure you get a forge sticker or keyring too

it hasnt got the n249 mod done to it but im going to plum my boost guage in and get a forge dv first and see if that helps first

just fitted the boost guage and it peaks @ 18 psi for a few seconds then back down to 12 and holds this surely isnt enough boost for 223 bhp?

mine boosts to18psi..and only running 180-190bhp
