Drl turned yellow

Hey I noticed my DRL (daytime running lights) turning yellow in my headlights. Which I would expect since the car had done almost 220000km and is 12 years old.

Ive seen some drl modules on aliexpress for like 20€ per headlight and I was wondering if that would solve my issue and has anyone had any experience with this problem before.

You might get away with just the module, you may also find that the heat from the LED has burnt/melted the end of the plastic light guide. You can get replacement light guides from China but it requires opening the headlight. Should the worst happen, the same sellers tend to sell new lenses

I would just buy new headlights at this point instead of all the hassle and try to sell these as "fixer-uppers", then the investment doesnt hurt as much

Bro wdym new headlights would cost over 1000€ per unit… It aint worth doing to a 12 year old seat… its not like these are inoperable they are just more yellow than they should be.

"What its worth" is different for everyone. I also replaced the headlights on my previous 2005 CLS55 AMG . Hella units, at 1200 euro total instead of +-1500e a piece at the dealer
