Drivers Door Lock

my drivers door has deicded it will only lock the car?? does anyone esle had this problem before or now how to fix it??

it will unlock on passenger side just not drivers......??

it is a 1.4 1999 ibiza

sounds like the 'castle' inside the lock has bust, you can get door lock repair kits on ebay, just make sure you get the right type for your key, its eiither a laser cut type or the normal tooth key type.

or just take the handle off and take a look at it, one torq bolt on the inside of the door shut, and the handle will come out complete with lock.

and if your not that bothered- you can actually flip driver and passanger handle over!

when u say a torq bolt is that a bolt that has been torq up or a speaical bolt??

no worries, its just a bolt- cant remember if its a hex/allen/torque style!! when you open your door, there is either going to be a bolt visible or might be a rubber piece covering it.

you shouldnt need to take the door cards off, it literally is on the inside of the door when you open it.
