 Must get some metal cutting blades for my big grinder.....

My mate cut up a MK1 Golf GL shell with a reciprocating saw, admittedly a smaller shell but can be done easily.
Surely the shell is worth more money than a pile of cut pieces of steel??

As said I'd get it picked up. I got offered £130 if i drove my run around to the scrap place 35 miles away or £80 by local bloke to come pick it up on hiab.

I cut a couple of cars up before with a still saw.....its not excatly safe and the sparks go quite far :cartman:

Several years ago I had a motorway cruiser that we used for trips on the continent. It had served the family well and I'd put 170k miles on it. (It had 80k on when I bought it). It became a second car, bust a coil spring and out of its MOT, it stood unfixed for a few months. We decided it needed to go to the scrapyard. I was fond of the car and naively thought someone would rescue it, so I popped a few spares in the glovebox. I thought it would get taken away on a trailer.

Anyway, I was horrified when a skip lorry turned up without skip. The driver put the car windows down, and put the big arm over the car. He put big chains off the arms through the windows and next thing, it's dangling in the air at a precarious angle with the roof f*cked.

I was traumatised!

I know what to expect this time........

I have a pic of my cordoba being lifted in a similar manner. except I cut the A and B pillars off (to make sure it wasn't going back on the road) and they lifted it on the doors alone.

I expected it to fall.

On the Jennychem website its £150 for 210 litres + vat and a free syphon pump. I assume delivery on top.

Yeah, prob is delivery on top. He has had this latest barrel a while as he blew two engines up (not related to running Meth, incompetent engine builders) so maybe this is why it's now selling at £150+VAT.

They actually phoned him to see if he wanted anymore delivering as it had been a while since he placed an order with them, not sure, maybe they gave him preferential rate's lol.

Any how, how does this still work out with what you have been paying before mate?
