Hi, I have a Seat Leon FR Tdi 07, I have recently had bother with my dpf and had it cleaned and properly looked at and keeping it is no longer practical as it gets blocked very easily with the car going into limp mode. I have had some quotes and cant seem to get anywhere that's local under £650 and im going to magaluf on july the 4th. GREAT TIMING!! lol. I work as a plater and have a whole factory of machinery at my disposal so I could easily make a replacement pipe for the dpf. I was just wondering if anyone on here has done such a thing and would be happy to share some advice, dimensions etc. as I don't know where to start, Thanks any advice is much appreciated!

hi mate im in the same situation if your not bothered about more power yet then remove the dpf pipe get a large masonery drill bit or a hammer and screwdriver knock/drill the filter out careful of the sensors then take it to a garage to map the dpf software out (about £150) then you will be all set :)

Good shout mate! I phoned up fife auto centre for the whole job and it cost 650 same with star. Im quite happy doing the physical bit myself cause I work at grays in cupar, good experience and that. But I will phone up fife auto centre for the ecu part. What stage are you at with yours?

Just a word of warning. The dpf delete is not straight forward. Deleting the software has confused some of the best tuners in the country. The likes of revo will not touch it as they can't get it right.

If the software is not right it can lead to massive problems further down the line, cars have even been known to catch fire!

I paid shark performance 700 to do my dpf delete and it's perfect. You get what you pay for and I'm afraid that paying 150 quid will cost you a lot more in the long run.

Search dpf delete on here and just have a read through some of the problems before you make any decisions mate

Okay mate thanks! Was going too do it cheap aswell, star performance is just a few miles away and they've won awards so will get a price from them. Cheers!

Most likely at work
I'm on the same boat, custom code quoted me £650 for DPF delete and stage 1 (as well as the work).

I found a garage right next to where I'm working atm who are saying they can do the same job for £300-350. I hope its a proper delete not just covering up the fault codes...

Custom Code/JBS - Their DPF Delete was the first one on the market, i had it V1 and V2 WILD mapping (equivalent of Stage2) and it was good, it worked well and never had any issues but.. they sold it as 240bhp and it was only 200-205bhp in reality.

I swapped it for Shark Performance who gave me Stage2 (216bhp) and Stage2+ (228bhp) mapping that i could switch using a SPS device.

Most of these cheap places know nothing about mapping at all, they basically remove your hardware, flash a DPF Delete file that they have downloaded from the internet and then flash a remap file that they have downloaded from the internet, they know nothing about the file they have flashed at all
