dpf removal

hi only recently bought a leon fr tdi and im having problems with the dpf light keeps coming on i take it for a blast on motorway and it go,s off for a few days then comes back on its doing my head in ,is there a company that removes them and will it damage the car ,,thanks all advise welcome...rik

There are many companies that do this have a search on here for dpf, im going to take a stab in dark and say your PD so that eliminates a few but are you after a remap as well or just a delete?

hi mate thanks for the reply im after a delete and maybea remap it depends on the effects and price my car is a 07 1.9 tdi fr if that helps and i will have a search ,,cheers

Lol you might wanna check ya CC's they stopped doing 1.9 FR's in 2005. Your looking about £300 for just the delete and about £700 with the remap, probably see about extra 50bhp max but the car will be totally transformed

This is interesting. So just the DPF delete plus ECU programming to cancel the dpf sensor errors is £300. Thats reasonable!

Must make a big difference to back pressure (without it there)? BHP increase?

What year is your FR TDI?

Its an 07 PD, and sorry I don't know of any dpf deleters in the north west

there is a few threads on just deleting the dpf think most say it feels better probably like strapping a less restricted exhaust on a n/a car

S hark performance but its in Mansfield which is a bit of a trek for you but depends how much you want the performance boost

You drove from London to mansfield to get a DPF delete, they must be good. Im only 15 mins from mansfield and Ive never heard of them.
