Of all the 170PD's we have seen we have yet to come across 1 that makes in excess of 180bhp stock and with all the latest factory updates they are all coming out with approx 165bhp.These figures are equated from M/G's of fuel, boost and requested torque level taken from the stock ECU calibration figures.
I think quite a few will dispute that... although I guess you only hear about the good ones...

Ive only had 1 regen in 18 months and never had any sensor or DPF issues again I think you only hear about the bad ones, and unfortunately when there is a problem related to the DPF it seems to cause lots of other issues...

I would definitely wait till after the warranty has expired, its not the sort of thing you could hide from even the dumbest dealer!

Hey,

Here are the results, i'm not around for long to write a review so i will come on in a day or so to write one.
In short... as per this review http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?p=2375675#post2375675 , the car is amazing to drive now and so responsive and i love the power, managed to blow off a Boxster today which put a Cheshire cat smile on my face :D

What you need to consider here is not the max bhp and ft lbs but the driveability through the rev range and the power delivery curve, another added bonus is when i have driven the car normaly without giving it stick its always above 52MPG, im going to test my work trip tommorow and see what i get again.

Well impressed with what James has done to my car! :)

Just need it to sound nicer now, so im thinking about non-res exhaust system.

Get yourself over to England for the day. Im strongly thinking about it as the place in N.I. ive looked into can only do a DPF delete and custom map which masks the DPF regen but it could still potentially happen... if it does and the DPF has been remove, its game over for the whole engine! at least thats what i took for what the guy said but im going back to clarify it when ive got the time.

Just think of the roadtrip back home again...!

hopefully not very smokey, was behind an Ibiza the other night that has a hybrid turbo and custom map putting out around 260bhp and i actually lost sight of him for the smoke!! it fairly goes though so i think i would be ok with having to wash it that wee bit more...

My car has been tested to check if the car can still go into Regen and the car will no longer enter regen mode.

I have standard system with miltek DPF-off pipe.

There is not much smoke at all, i can only see the smoke at night when its in headlights.
Otherwise i cannot really see it.

ok, this is what i have had done by custom-code/JBS. At current they are the only people with a custom map which will ensure the car will not go into regen mode.

I would recommend you have it done with Custom-Code for the assurance, als the custom phase 2 map which James has created is more than expected effect.
