Had dreaded DPF Light about 6 months ago so took the plunge and went for Removal and Remap, All fine for about 4 months and now i get intermittent DPF light usually on long runs (motorway 70+) and stays on rest of journey no loss of power but seems smokier when pushed. Then left outside work all day will light up on start then go out as normal but again later into drive it can return.Returned to tuner and they changed sensor Dont rememder name (but was top Rear left of engine)?? But symtoms still persist.Constant worry of iminent failure get on my nerves..........Any suggestions appricated

Who did the DPF delete and remap? If it's been done properly you should never see the DPF light again. It should be like you never had a DPF fitted in the first place.

Local tuner seemed to know his stuff but running siemens ECU and having read other threads these seem to be bit tempermental and leans towards sensor fault hence changing first sensor but told theyre are 3 sensors but when he put original map on to see which sensor code gave him the first sensor but wouldnt let him do adaptation and then struggled to get map back on so hopeing someone might have had same problem and point me down path was thinking about swapping remaining sensors if that will help

Update

So I traveled to Darkside Developments (nearly 500 mile round trip)for DPF Delete software and Remap........collected car and off i went BUT...light came on after just 4 miles. So returned to Darkside after 2hrs of investigation we found a wore wire to one of the sensors reading 2volts instead of 5volts so there electrition sorted that out..so far so good. Did 250 mile test run to Newcastle and back that evening....No LIGHT.......Great drive on new map.then returned home and still no light.
So if you are having same problem check voltage to sensors if all else fails go to Darkdide you wont regrett the service
