downpipe question

hi guys any help would be much appreciated on this query,

have done a few searches to findout some information but havnt answered my question realy!

right say i brought a 3" a and m downpipe for an ibiza cupra would this be connected to the cat?

as i was going to take my car to have a custom exhaust made and just wondered if i would have to buy a 3" d/p and have the system mated to that or could they fabricate it from the turbo back? as i owuld like a system without a cat and middle box!

if you do that you'll have probs mate plus you need the cat for mot's!!

what problems would i have mate?? i would keep the original for mots

The cat and the downpipe are one piece, the A&M dp includes a sports cat and replaces the stock on. You can have a cat back system mated to that then. What other modifications have you got to compliment the dp?
