Hi,
Ive got a 2004 lcr and i bought it at 85k on clock

The last service was done at 83k from a seat dealer, but it doesnt tell me if the cambelt was changed or any major service

Should they have been carried out

Thanks

I think they say it should be done at 4 years.
I did mine last year at 5 years and 30k.
Better safe than sorry.

My mech reckons it should be done at 40k, which is what i've reached, car is just over 4 years old, should i get it done now?

Mine is over 4 years no and has 45k on it and i have just booked it in for 3 weeks time, hurrendous waste of money to spend on a cam belt but it needs doing eventually so may aswell do it now i say.

if theres no sign in any paper work try and ask the previous owner. you could take a look at it, see if it looks new. its the belt on the drivers side of the engine.
if its not been done yet it should be done

Ring the dealer that has serviced it they should have all details of parts used on your car at service.
